Welcome to Methven’s very own New York–style loft, a stylish and comfortable second-floor apartment perfectly positioned in the heart of town. Located above a commercial office space, this modern retreat offers a peaceful stay while placing you just moments from Methven’s cafés, pubs, shops, and everyday amenities. Designed to suit discerning business travellers, couples seeking a relaxed escape, or visitors exploring Mt Hutt and the wider Mid Canterbury region, the apartment blends urban loft living with small-town charm. Enjoy a glass of wine on the balcony, unwind after a day on the slopes or at Ōpuke Thermal Pools & Spa, or step outside and be within easy walking distance of everything Methven has to offer. Inside, the apartment features a comfortable bedroom with a queen bed, alongside a welcoming living area, where the sofa converts to two single beds (one floor bed), making the space ideal for couples or small families though we do think this is best suited for two guests only. The kitchen is fully equipped with pod coffee machine, crockery, cookware, and glassware, allowing you to dine in with ease. Guests can enjoy ultra-fast WiFi, a Smart TV, and excellent amenities whether staying for work or leisure. All quality linen and towels are provided for a seamless, hotel-style experience. The apartment is accessed via stairs at the rear of the building, conveniently located beside the designated car park. There is one allocated off-street park with private driveway access or additional vehicles can park on the street. While there is no laundry within the apartment, several modern laundromats are located nearby in town, offering fast machines with EFTPOS or coin options. Your local property manager is on hand to enhance your stay, with optional extras such as welcome baskets or special touches available by request. Whether you’re visiting for business, adventure, or a romantic escape, this central Methven loft offers a refined, comfortable base — a little slice of New York, right in the heart of Mid Canterbury. The apartment is clearly marked and accessed via stairs at the back of building right beside the carpark. Locally based manager available 24/7 to assist your queries. - Stairs must be climbed as the apartment is on the second floor. - You may hear road noise due to the central location. - There are NO laundry facilities onsite, there are several laundromats in Methven for coin or EFTPOS operation. - This is apartment is best suited to 2 guests only, even though the lounge can accommodate an additional guest on the single bed this configuration isn't ideal.

By confirming your reservation, you agree to comply with the following House rules for the duration of your stay. 1. Enjoy Your Stay We want you to relax and enjoy your time here - this is your holiday after all! 2. Noise & Neighbourhood Respect This is a residential area. Please keep noise to a respectful level at all times, with quiet hours strictly observed between 10:00 pm and 8:00 am. If this may be an issue, we kindly ask that you choose alternative accommodation. 3. Guests, Visitors & Events Only guests listed on the booking are permitted on the property. Parties and unapproved gatherings are not allowed and will result in immediate cancellation without refund. 4. Smoking, Drugs & Animals No smoking or vaping inside the home at any time No drugs permitted anywhere on the property No pets allowed Any breach of these rules may result in immediate termination of your stay and/or additional cleaning charges (minimum $200). 5. Check-In & Check-Out Check-in: 3:00 pm Check-out: 10:00 am Early check-ins or late check-outs are subject to availability and must be approved in advance. Unapproved late check-outs will incur a $100 per hour fee. 6. Occupancy Limits The property may only be occupied by the number of guests confirmed at the time of booking. Exceeding this number without approval may result in eviction without refund and/or additional charges of $30 per extra guest per night. 7. Care of the Property Please treat the home and its contents with care. Removing any items from the property, including linen, kitchenware, or furnishings, is not permitted and replacement costs will be charged accordingly. 8. Appliance Use All appliances and amenities must be used for their intended purpose only. 9. Damage & Breakages If any damage occurs during your stay, please notify us as soon as possible. Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the property or its contents. The home is inspected before and after each stay. 10. Departure Checklist To assist our housekeeping team, please complete the following before departure: - Empty the fridge of personal food items - Leave beds unstripped (linen in place) - Secure all doors and windows - Place rubbish and recycling into the outdoor bins 11. Maintenance Non-urgent maintenance is not available during your stay. However, if something requires attention, please notify us and we will address it as soon as practicable. 12. Liability The owners/managers are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, illness, or loss of personal belongings that may occur during your stay. By staying at the property, guests accept responsibility for their own safety and that of anyone they invite onto the premises.
